what a difference

Looking back on some of the pictures I have taken of my pieces, I am embarrassed. :) But hey, we all gotta start somewhere right. I have been using a point and shoot digital camera, and it works just fine. Or so I thought. I knew my friend Jaymee took way better pictures than me, and while I believed some of it to be her camera, I also know that she has a ton of talent. Check her out here.

Well if you were wondering if a better camera can actually take better pictures, please keep reading.

Today Jaymee loaned me her old (not good enough for her) camera, which is to me like the Lexus of cameras. Here are some comparisons. Note: I still need a LOT of practice, but the detail it catches..........wow.

I've been trying new angles, and other things, with little luck. So I guess I will just keep working at it. I won't ever be a pro, but if I get a few better pictures, I will be happy. Thanks for the loaner Jaymee.  :)

  1. I think the best improvement you made to your product shots was shooting them at a "on the same level" angle rather than shooting straight down on the products. This gives a more realistic look to your jewelry and adds more interest, I think.

    Congrats on the great improvements!
